problem using split vb6
This code on testing was working perfectly when testing,but now when trying to use it, it produces the number 7 instead of the file name part
 Dim StrParts() As String
        Dim FileName As String
        FileName = gridMaster.TextMatrix(mintgridMasterCurRow, 0)
       'Debug.Print FileName  'produces 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\VB10\Tasks\Personal\Tasks\11-11-2015.rtf
         StrParts = Split(FileName, "\") 'get the filename part of the fullpath
         gstrDeletedFieName = UBound(StrParts)
         Debug.Print gstrDeletedFieName 'this produces a 7

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

pls try

gstrDeletedFieName = StrParts(UBound(StrParts))
