Microsoft Dynamics CRM on LIne

We have been using CRM for the past six month and have found it to be a great product.

One issue, how do we change the drop down boxes on the forms? E.G.

On the Sales/Lead form there is a drop down box under "Lead Source". I want to add extra values in the drop down box. How is this done?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You do this in the customization area. If you have the System Customizer or System Administrator role, navigate to a list of leads. On the command bar, click on the three dots (...) and then Customize Entity. This opens a  new window (the Default Solution). In this window on the left, look under Lead and then click Fields.

In the list of Fields, double-click on Lead Source (it might help to click on Display Name to sort by name and you might need to go to page 2). A new window appears where you can add new values. When done, click Save and Close and then in the Default Solution window click on Lead and then at the top of the window click Publish.  If you have other users in your organisation who might be customising CRM, check in with them in case they are working on any customizations.

The new values should appear in the drop down box - you might need to refresh your browser if the lead was open before you made the changes.
