The Name on the Security Certificate is Invalid or Does not Match the Name of the Site

We are experiencing "The Name on the Security Certificate is Invalid or Does not Match the Name of the Site" When trying to connect to Outlook anywhere. This problem does not appear when logging onto active sync, OWA or when connecting locally.

We are using Outlook 2007 and Exchange 2007.

The current certificate has all the relevant entries and does not expire till next year.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Is it a self-signed cert and/or are you using .local?

Internal domain names are no longer supported.

when this happens the first thing you should do is stop and examine the certificate and the error message only then can you fix the error
