Still having tremendous spam problems with Outlook.com

Previously I'd inquired about a client with suddenly horrible spam problems with her Hotmail account. It was recommend that I check the settings an turn up the spam filtering from "Standard" to "Exclusive" in Outlook.com. We did this. After 24 hours, no help whatsoever.

Is my only choice to use an email client on a laptop so that the installed ESET Smart Security will filter out the spam? She normally accesses the account on an iPad and I'm not aware of a spam filter I can add there.

Thank you.

I think that it is better to install another email client like Cannonball instead of using the default mail app on iPad.

It is possible to filter out the spam using another computer, but if the filter wrongly identify legitimate email as spam, it will be very difficult for your client to retrieve such emails.

Email protection does not protect webmail. Your webmail server does that for you. Email downloaded via HTTP(S) will be scanned by web protection (HTTPS only with SSL scanning enabled). Otherwise the antispam for outlook client should be available for the MS outlook client with the eset toolbar existence for the config. http://support.eset.com/kb2866/

Also the email protection module in ESET NOD32 Antivirus is to allow the software to scan for threats in messages that may be downloaded by an email client such as Microsoft Outlook.

The abive is just to make we are in same understanding so pardon me...Back to antispam config.

So assuming if you see one of those spam and tag them to as junk. We can reclassify them as spam message if they are not deemed automatically prior to the eset classification.

E.g When you click a message you consider spam in inbox, select Reclassify messages as spam and the message will be moved to junk email folder. You can select multiple messages and perform the action on all of them at the same time.

Other candidate for ios and even windows, you may want to consider spamsieve..see its training of its spam engine for phishing messages, image spams, and messages from forged senders that you might think would confuse
