Remote Desktop fails to connect

I have two Windows 7 computers (say Computer1 and Computer2)  joined on the same domain on the same network.
I set up remote desktop on Computer1 PC so that the user can connect to Computer2 and it has been working fine for months. All of a sudden, it stops working. When I click [Connect] button, it asks for the password.
When I enter the password, instead of connecting to Computer2, the remote desktop window comes back on.
Other remote desktop connections to other computers (Computer3, Computer4) still work fine except to this computer. I rebooted both PCs several times, but to no avail.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Try to login to computer2 from console. Unjoin from domain and rejoin into domain. Try to RDP after rejoining the domain.

Check firewall settings, any antivirus installed on the computer2 and telnet the port 3389.

Sorry for late response. I found out that the host computer was acting up. I restarted that computer a few times and it is all good now.
