# Excel equation with values changing depending upon number of itemes

Hi,

Thanks in advance.

How can I achieve the following.

1. I would like an end total price
2. I would like the end total price to take in to account the following;

The first 10 of item x is at \$3
The second 10 are at \$2
The third 10 are at \$1

How can I write an equation to automatically take in to account the above if I enter eg 28 items are bought, the answer being 10x \$3, 10x \$2 and 8x\$1

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks
Gareth
