"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

No. The application bitness defines what driver is needed.

Why do you connect via ODBC?

Do you have business reasons for using Office 64bit?

You will require 32-bit office to use 32-bit ODBC. This is why lots of companies running SAP use 32-bit office as SAPGUI has always been 32-bit. B

All?  Oracle has 64Bit ODBC drivers and I would recommend using Oracle native drivers to connect to an Oracle database.

I would recommend the Oracle Instant Client:

You will need two downloads:
Instant Client Package - Basic
Instant Client Package - ODBC
