I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

that really depends on
- what features do you want to use?
- how much data (in terms of size) you will use/work on?

Having all services
- SQL Database
- SSAS Multidimensional
- SSAS Tabular
running on one machine - each using about 1 GB of data, then for ONE user 8GB should be enough, but 12 GB as well as fast SSD prefered - SQL Server Data Tools and Management Studio will also take their RAM and disk IO.

Rainer is correct in pointing out that a lot of it depends on what you want to do
