I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Do you need to integrate with any other tools?

I recently discovered that Google has a tool that works well ans supports collaboration. Checkout Google Drawings. Sina recently was able to use it very successfully for a SWOT.

Otherwise Gliffy has a free option.

I also have used Omnigraffle for iOS, but it starts at $49.99

I just looked at Google Drawings, it's quite "basic" in its design and has no UML specific shapes I could find (e.g. no "Actor")  so you would have to create those first it seems.

Personally I'd want something that has UML shapes ready to use.

Gliffy I've used quite a while back - it does have shape libraries and I think it has UML shapes (from memory)

In response to this question I had a look at lucidchart - that claims to have a free option - which appears to be quite nifty with simple drag&drop interface, this took seconds to create:lucidchart: Use Case Diagram
Personally I would shop around, kick a few free tyres, then decide because there are quite a number of these products available. Just take care with "free" some are free to join for a short while only, some require a credit card up front (I avoid those). The other problem with "free" is they generally have restrictions such as only storing one file (or even not storing anything).
