Move VHD snapshots location

Hi I have a large amount (in size) of avhd files as well as a snapshot folder taking up all the space on my VM hosts hard drive.

Is it possible to store these files on a different drive to where they are currently stored (in the same folder as the VHD file)

Thanks.

You really shouldn't be keeping snap shots for more than a few days.   It greatly effects performance.   Remove your snap shots and take a new ones if you truly need them.

Ok great thanks, so am I right I saying that the .avah file is related to the snapshot?
As I seem to have some massive files in the .avah format, some are bigger than the actual .vhd file which does make much sense.

Want to try and get some space back ASAP really before the local drive fills up and pauses the running VM's

There shouldn't be any avah files.  AVHD/AVHDX, yes, they belong to snapshots.
