Why does this tooltip not look the way it should?

If you head out to http://jsfiddle.net/abbylangner/XHb4Z/, you'll see click-able tool tip that I'm attempting to replicate at http://hihatwebdesign.com/verizon/tooltip_test.php.

While the tooltip dynamic is functioning, the box itself is nowhere to be seen. I'm thinking that, among other things, there's are some stylizing issues that need to happen, but I don't know where I would implement them.

Bottom line: How can I get the box and the positioning of that box in place?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Jquery ui also has a stylesheet with it, to take care of all the styling rendering.

Include that as well:

<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.9.2/themes/base/jquery-ui.css">

Hey, Snarf!

I'm getting closer. I changed the font family and the size, but I'm stuck as far as positioning.

Here's the CSS:

.ui-tooltip {
      padding: 8px;
      position: absolute;
      z-index: 9999;
      max-width: 300px;
      -webkit-box-shadow: 0 0 5px #aaa;

I've added top and left margin settings and nothing seems to work, as far as positioning. Do you have any idea as to why or what I need to change to more specifically position the tooltip?
There's a lot of options baked into the widget.  I can't be be much help as i don't use it myself, but check out the position property from their documentation:
