I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You will need CD/DVD burning software such as ImgBurn, but you will also need a bootable .iso image file for the software to burn to the disc.

What OS are you wanting the software to run on? I think both Windows and Linux OSs have had free burner software available for quite a few years.

I am trying to make a bootable ghost cd for windows 7.  I have a bootable ghost flash drive but now I want a bootable ghost cd.  To create my bootable ghost flash drive I first had to make the flash drive bootable.

Then Perarduaadastra (ID: 41235750) has the correct answer. I also use ImgBurn, but Norton is now blocking access to the site :-(

You can get free software here:
Active@ ISO Burner 3.0 (Freeware)

Active@ ISO Burner 3.0 is a simple-to-use dialog-style software to burn CD/DVD/Blu-ray ISO images compatible with the ISO 9660 standard. Automated burning is also supported.
Active ISO Burner is one that I've used on Windows, though only up to Win XP. Paul's link should be good.
