Outlook 2010 Crashing when downloading pics

Hi there, I have a customer with Outlook 2010 (on 2 different computers). All of a sudden they find out look is crashing when some emails are auto previewed and the pictures are down loaded.

I have set the security not to download pics automatically which seems to have stopped outlook crashing when that email is selected but outlook will still crash when the user selects "Download Pictures". This problem doesn't happen on all emails mainly when the user gets daily auto emails from trademe.co.nz auction site about new listings.

I have scanned the PST file on one of the PCs - no difference.

I have even setup a new PST file - no change when it downloads the emails. One PC is on exchange one is on pop3.

Anyone got any ideas?

The problem is caused by MS15-115 (KB3097877)

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3097877 (you can also try the solutions from this KB)

Can you uninstall it? There is a new version of that update, but it will cause other problems. So we will wait still all problems are fixed.
