stopping a java process started with daemon command

I am starting a program with the command :
daemon --user=flocksnippet "java -DFLOCK_APPS_CONFIG=staging -jar snippet.jar" &

doing source /etc/init.d/functions before invoking the above command.

Now if i do killproc java it will kill all the java process..
I want to kill in particular this java process.

I am actually writing an init script in which i have to write some code to stop the above program which it starts..

How do i do it ?

You must invoke java from tanuki wrapper or jsvc - i.e purpose-built wrappers that essentially wait for previous "java service" to terminate.
