Migrating IMAP Email to a New Mail Server Using Outlook 2010.

I was looking for suggestions of how to move all of my emails to a new IMAP email server (not Exchange Server).
Previously, I would create a new Temp.PST, and copy all of the folders and emails to this Temp.PST, then change the IMAP server settings to the new email server, then copy all folders and emails from Temp.PST back to the original email account (because it will be blank with the new server settings).
Is there a faster/easier way to do this, especially if I want to maintain the custom folders I have created in the original IMAP account?

Hi eeyo,

Your ideia is correct, copy the mails and folders to a local Outlook folder , remove the account in settings and create the new one and copy the mails and folders again to the new server.

While this works, it can be pain if you have many, many folders.  I noticed that when I "Copy" a folder to Temp.PST account, it copies the folder name, but not the contents. I then I have to select all emails and copy those over as well.  Repeat and rinse ...

Just found the button for Offline.  How would I use this to make the IMAP server migration easier?

That setting helps seting all the mail to be sync / downloaded for offline usage.
