raid 0 striped failed

I have a Dell XPS8300 (Win 7) with dual drives in a RAID 0 configuration.  I get a Missing Operating System message when I boot up.  The screen before it says RAID0 (stripe) failed.

I was able to run Ubuntu off a DVD and recover my data successfully.

What is the best way to revive this PC?  I don't have the Windows 7 disks for this PC.

Don't use RAID 0, or if you do, make lots of backups! You didn't use the utility installed on the PC to make your own set of recovery DVD's when you got the PC? If not, and you haven't made any OS backups, your only option is to order a set of recovery DVD's from Dell. When they arrive, make sure that you don't use RAID 0....

While you wait for the DVD's to arrive from Dell, run the disk manufacturer's diagnostic tools to find out if and which of your disks are bad, then replace the bad one. You'll find those tools on the UBCD:

If you are going to use RAID, use RAID 1, and also never use the fakeRAID controller for that which comes on most mainboards, rather use the OS built in RAID functions. That is much more reliable and also performs much better.

Thanks to all of you for providing information to help me solve my issue.
would you be so kind as to tell us HOW you solved it ?
I reformatted one of the drives, and then reinstalled Windows 7 using a Dell recovery disk.  I have a working PC now.
thanks for the info
