Make a WCF Service accessible to the network.

I have just created my first WCF Service to provide data via a REST interface but can only get it to respond on the default http://localhost:5904/Service1.svc

How do I go about getting it available on http://MyServer.local/servicename.svc ?  I must be missing something somewhere

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You would need to deploy the service to the target server, that is running IIS, and exposes the application.  If you are learning web services, WCF is old-school, and Web API is more current technology, that you might want to think about.
