netapp VSC version for vmware6.0

Did anyone install VSC for vCenter version6.
I installed ver4.2( which is compatible based on IMT) on vmware ver6.0, but unable to mount the volumes.
I am able to mount volumes using manual method via vmware, so there is no exportfs or permission issue.
I wonder what is the correct version VSC for vmware 6?
There is VSC ver6.1 , not sure whether this will be compatible with vmware 6.
I have been using older versions in vpshere5.1 and did not have any issue .

You need to choose VSC depending on NetApp you have - 7mode or not have different VSCs.

6.1 will support VMware vSphere 6.0, no sure why you've been using 4.2, and I've no idea what happened to v5.1/v5.5 of VSC! (it's gone).

It will also depend on your OnTap version, whether 7 mode or CDOT

I have 7-mode ver8.1.3.  Strange that netapp downloads listed 4.2 and 6.0 so I downloaded 4.2 thinking that the ver6.0 for CDOT.  I now have to uninstall 4.2 and give a try with VSC ver6.1.

what ever the IMT states is the correct version.

the release notes for 6.1 state vSphere 5.5 or later, it was released in Oct 2015.

BUT, your OnTap version is the key for support!

You may find you are in a old unsupported version of OnTap, and would be better off on a later version, than older version....
