Unable to Re-install WPro 10

W10Pro was working well, then suddenly I was unable to boot from  drive C. All fixes were try and failed, When trying  to reinstall W10 from DVD and usb drive made with Rufus,. I am getting  a message saying that a previous upgrade was started then says  to restart and boot from the Windows drive, since I am unable to boot from drive C what can I do. Will I get the same message if I format drive C then try to re-install W10Pro?  I was trying to avoid re-formatting drive C.

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You may have something wrong with the drive.

Try booting from a bootable CD (Ultimate Boot CD) and see if you can run the Media Creation link.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

That might force an install of Windows 10. If not, you need to run a disk test to see if the drive is OK, back up what you can (using the bootable CD) and then doing a fresh install of Windows 10.

You should delete your partitions and then just boot from the DVD or USB stick to make a clean installation.
