Microsoft Hyper-V 2012

I just patched a hyper-v Host machine, and I shutdown the 2 VM guests that were associated with the host.

Now when I go into VMM, and right click on the guest VMs, I cannot power on the guest VMs.

How can I power up the guest VMs.

I tried also Virtual Manager on my desktop and it says 'RPC server unavailable. Unable to establish communication.

How can I get my VM guests up and running.

thanks

I would suggest you to go to services console and first check if hyper v management service and its related services are running.
After that you can open hyper v manager and try to turn on your VM's and post error if any.
I think it will resolve your issue.

Open PowerShell: Start-VM -Name VMName [Enter]

OR

Open Hyper-V Manager on the host and start the VM by clicking on it and Start in the right hand column.
