Basic setting up of shares on WS2012r2 on workgroup

Hi all,
first timer here (be gentle :) ).
I'm using a sonos music system and i want to stream my music collection from a share i have setup on my WS2012r2 box on a WORKGROUP, \\hyperserver\music. I've allowed read/write access to the 'Everyone' group in both the share and security tabs, which as far as i can tell is all i'm supposed to need do to allow client computers on the same WORKGROUP to connect.
But i keep getting the following error:

"\\hyperserver is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.
Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer"

I've tried on clients running win 8.1 and 10 so far, but this represents the OS'es installed at home. We don't have 7 anymore.
I've just signed up for a year in a bid to get help as whilst i've read other threads about this, i'm not really getting anywhere with it.

Wold be very grateful for any assistance offered.
