RODC's with Cross Domain Authentication

Hi All,

We have two seperate forrests. Corp.domain.adr and DMZ.domain.adr. These have a two way trust. We have RODC's in the DMZ for our DMZ.domain.adr domain. We would like AD authentication requests for the corp.domain.adr to flow through the RODC's.

See attached Image.

I have read alot of posts and guides but cant get this working. The memeber server tries to query the corp.domain.adr servers directly rather than through the RODC's

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

simply put the ip address of the RODC in the member servers network settings (at the top)

Hi David Johnson,

The RODC's are the primary and secondary DNS servers for the memeber server.

The solution in the end was that i had to put a RODC of second domain. The RODC couldnt handle kerberos requests for cross domain authentication
