Setting IM proxy settings (AIM, MSN) via GPO?

I am wondering if there is a way to set up the proxy settings in these IM clients via GPO or some other method.

The version of AIM we are using 7.5

The below topic mentions changing registry settings but those settings are not in the registry for AIM 7.5:

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I'm not aware about AIM, but if there are no settings in the registry, an application just uses some internal defaults. You can try to create the settings by hand and see, if your application takes them.

If you are aware about the settings, you can create a GPO and write the registry settings by the GPO:
