when starting powershell STA or MTA what are the pros and cons ?

Hello,

what are the differences when starting powershell with STA and MTA ?

when is an advantage to start it as single thread ?

when is an advantage to start it as a multi thread ?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Default mode is MTA, so multiple jobs and threads can run simultanously. With STA you can only have one active process/thread at any time. You'll need STA if using Windows Forms, for example, but usually you do not care.
