I need to copy config from a CISCO switch to a new switch of the exact same model

This should be easy but I would like a refresher just to make sure I have the syntax right. We have a Cisco Switch that has issues and Cisco has agreed to replace. They are sending me the exact same model with a RMA to return the old on. I am assuming that I can backup the old switch to a TFTP server and restore the file onto the new switch. Is this correct? Will I need a console cable? What are the exact cisco commands?

thanks, I assume this will bring over our username and passwords and wipe out the cisco cisco password that will come on the "out of the box" switch?

Yes and yes.  It will also bring across the IP so be sure they are not both on the network at the same time or you will get a conflict.
