Skype For Business

Hi,

I'm hoping somebody will have a quick solution for me. I previously posted that I have installed Skype for Business Server 2015. That's all working fine now.

My issue is which client to use. I have downloaded the Skype For Business 2016 client only after a few weeks of using it, I am greeted with the attached when I log in. I am using Office Professional 2010. Speaking with Microsoft they say that I should not be prompted for a licence. She never went into any technical detail about if I need any specific versions of Office etc.

So my question is, with this new installation of SFB2015, what client do I download? Just the old Lync Basic Client? Should the new Skype For Business 2016 client work?

I'm at my wits end trying to get any helpful information from Microsoft.

Any advice will be most welcome!

Hi Jackie Man,

Thanks for your response - Exactly what I needed to know. Thank you for making it so straight forward.

I notice in those articles that it says you also get the full version with Office Pro Plus 2013. We actually have a volume licence for that so I will consider upgrading.

Again, many thanks.
