HP Officejet scan to pdf and email issue

I have a new Officejet Pro 8620 and I love it so far except for one thing. When I scan a PDF file to Outlook to email I then write in the email body- a message to the recipient. However when I send it, the message does not send with the attachment. The attachment does email but with no message. This has happened many times.

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Scan to PDF to your computer and then email the attachment with your notes. That is what I do, and I have the same printer as you. Works flawlessly and takes only a few seconds more.

Just looking at my setup again and doing a scan and I think the reason that you are losing complete email (note and attachment) is that the attachment has to save first. It may be getting lost there. I just scan, save and email with no issue.

I can do that, and that does work fine.  However I was just curios as to why in the matter of one evening, my ability to scan to email and then send it out no longer works.

I will try that.  Thanks
