iCloud App Numbers set print area

I use the Numbers (spreadsheet) App on www.icloud.com. It meets most of my basic needs. However, I can't seem to define the print area. Sometimes I need to print out only a portion of the spreadsheet, but whenever I try to print, it prints the whole thing, which is useless. Can I somehow define what part I want to print out?

I don't have access to numbers right now, but you should normally be able to print to a PDF on a Mac.  You can then open the PDF in Preview and print only the page you want.

You CANNOT define print area on the iCloud editor .. you'll have to open on OSX with the full Numbers application and you can then insert page breaks etc.

The iCloud editor is not a fully functional application. In effect you can only convert the online file to a PDF .. so if you want to print only a selected area you need to copy the selected area and paste into a second table and print that instead.

eoinosullivan -- That is what I suspected -- that you cannot define the print area. Unfortunately, if I copy the table (that I want to print) to another spreadsheet, I get a bunch of errors since there are dependencies in the original spreadsheet. The best I can do is screen capture what I want, and print that. It really stinks.

YES .. and you don't have the option either to copy and paste values which would also be an option in the full Numbers app on OSX

Since the web interface is so limited, it looks like I will need to invest in another iMac...

Or .. switch to Google Spreadsheets or Office365 both of which offer much more functional web-based spreadsheet editors than the iCloud offering

You're right. I'm stubbornly holding on to a 100% Apple solution to do my work. Might have to rethink that.  Thanks again...  Mark

I love Mac .. but Numbers and iCloud editing are both very poor when compared to other offerings.

It is hard to match Excel and Office 365 plus their apps for iOS and web are excellent .. much as I dislike other Microsoft in other respects .. they still lead the field in the Office space.
