I want to create a "Web application" that is based on Maven (that is located under Maven when you try to create a new project.

However, I don't have that option under there. Look at 10:40 in this video...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Did you follow the setup of NetBeans to use Maven?  Specifically, do you have Java EE enabled?
mdolandAuthor Commented:
Well, I have the Mave directory symbol and it contains a couple of choices, but not Web application. I have created other Maven projects. Also, I have created other Web application projects, but not as in the youtube video where they have a Web application in the Maven-folder.

Not sure that is a definitive yes to my question, so I just want to make sure you did enable/download J2EE for NetBeans.  If you did, make sure it is updated / enabled within NetBeans.
