Testing Bandwidth restrictions on VLANs

Whats the best way to test Bandwidth restrictions. I have set HTTP and HTTPS restrictions on a watchguard firewall on 4 different VLANs.

Will a speedtest.net test not work?

speedtest.net uses port 8080 for the actual speed test, so you would need to configure the firewall to include that port if you want to use speedtest.net to test test your restrictions.

Would you know how to add port 8080 to an existing HTTP policy?
Thanks for the points.  I'll have to get back to you on adding port 8080.  I never worked on a Watchguard firewall.  What level of firmware/software is your firewall running?

Generically there should be some type of definition of what ports are included as http/https traffic and you would add port 8080 to that definition.

You might want to dump the configuration file and look for any definitions/parameters that have http or port 80 in them and go from there.
