AppLocker publisher error

EE,

I'm having an issue publishing an allow rule for OutlookAddIn2007.dll within 1000 user profiles. The error I get is 0x800710D8 The object identifier does not represent a valid object

This probably has to do with the fact that there is no digital certificates tab on this dll. A search online shows one person using setreg or signtool from SDK tools but I'm not sure if that will work or perhaps there's an easier way?

Thanks again

Why not use a pathrule?

I thought you'd mention that but articles seem to advise against too many path rules. Plus, correct me if I'm wrong, because the dll is located in each of the 1000 users APPDATA profile meaning I'd need a path rule for each of the 1000 users profiles.

Unless I can use wildcards in between paths i.e. %OSDRIVE%\Users\*\AppData\Local\assembly\dl3\*\OutlookAddIn2007.DLL

You'll have a path like this:
%osdrive%\users\*\appdata\local\assembly\...
The "*" do the trick.

Yup worked, that was easier than creating digitally signing the DLL via SDK tools, makecert setreg or whatever
