Windows 10 Switches to private network when entering a static IP address.

After upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 7 our PC's that have a static IP address switched from domain network to private network and disallow users network drive as well as group policy access. When we remove the static address it works however, we need to have them statically assigned. Is there any work around to fix this?

You are very unlikely to get Public Static IP so that make sense. Better to always use DHCP for a laptop anyway. Far fewer issues.
