Exchange 2013 CU update test

I did a  P2V conversion of primary DC with all role and imported exchange 2013 OVF to try CU update on lab. I did not check exchange communication before upgrading CU 10 on lab. However, after upgrading I tried accessing it from a client VM and it was failing to connect to  exchange.
On DC I saw some error related secondary DC. To fix that error I removed secondary DC record from AD U and C, Sites and services, DNS SRV records.
When I ping exchange from it self I saw reply from IPV6 and I tried to disabled IPV6 from network interface and now there is no network communication on reboot and it does not allow me to open any console except CMD. All other command like regedit, ncpa.cpl etc are non-responsive.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Never disable IPv6 on a server as it can stop components from working.
Rather set IPv4 to preferred protocol instead as per Microsoft FixIt article here

What you might need to do is add a new network adapter in VMWare and remove the old one.
Then re-assign the same IP to the new NIC and reboot.
I think from memory that having the 2nd NIC with IPv6 might regain you control over the server if not mistaken if you do prefer to fix the original one

If that fails try to enable the IPv6 on the original adapter using the suggestion in the guide listed here
