4 TB drive in docking station only shows as 2 TB...

I've got a Seagate 4 TB drive, that I'm wanting to use in a docking station for backups, but the drive is only showing as 2 TB.
I'm running 64 bit WIndows 7 Ultimate, it's a Seagate ST 4000DM000 drive & a Thermaltake  BlacX docking station.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi Because the Thermaltake  BlacX docking station supports All 2.5” & 3.5” SATA HDDs up to 2 TB only!

You can try something like this which supports upto 6TB
