windows 7 : Can't see all wi-fi wireless connections

OS : Windows 7

i did give my old laptop to repair for overheating.
he did fix the issue.

when I start my laptop I can only see wifi connection I used to connect, other wi-fi connections not visible.
adding to that, the internet speed of connection is also terribly low.

before posting this question, I double checked the issue twice from my other laptop and NOTE mobile. where I can see all other wi-fi connections and its speed also normal it was before.

therefore, Indeed the issue could issue in setting in repaired  laptop.

please let me know how to fix this issue.

Open cmd.exe with Run as Administrator and run:

NETSH WLAN SHOW PROFILES

Do you see all your profiles or are some missing.

missing....

So then probably what happened is that the Wi-Fi driver (and possibly other drivers) were replaced / re-installed which removed Wi-Fi profiles. The command line will list them if they are present, so it is not a settings issue and you need to remake the profiles.

Yes, but the command line will list profiles whether they are current or not. I just tested it and can account for everything I use.

apart from that my-wi connection very slow from this laptop unlike other my laptop

Since you had the computer serviced, I would take this opportunity to delete your wireless profiles (those that are there), and upgrade (reinstall) the Wi-Fi driver. Restart and make your home connection and test for speed.

Open the cover to the wireless NIC. Most laptops have that easily removed at the bottom of the case. Then make sure the Antenna wires are properly attached to the wireless NIC. The repair man probably forgot to do that, so now you can only see the strongest and closest access points.

As rindi notes the connections could have become unseated. Further, the card could easily have been damaged with the laptop overheating.

Are you able to try a new card or a wireless USB card?

The other thing that could be very enlightening is to return the computer to where you got it repaired. The repair may not have been well done.

have you checked if the wifi drivers are the latest?.
if when fixed,  windows was reinstalled, probably you have the generic drivers and you need to go to the maker website and download  the latest drivers.

Try right clicking on My Computer icon and hitting Mange.
Hit Device Manager and scroll to network adapters and expand it and select your wifi card.
From there hit uninstall but do not remove the driver.
After that look up on toolbar with a magnifying glass and it will scan for changes which will then reinstall your driver for your wireless.

So as I mentioned, he probably just forgot to connect the Antennas to the card.
