Windows Live Mail doesn't allow to delete emails anymore

Hello, so I'm on this customer's PC (Windows 7) and they use WLM and there's no way to delete most messages from the Junk folder and the Deleted Messages folder. Obviously, none of the methods to empty those folders work.

Almost all the messages pop an "Unknown Error" window when I try to delete them.

I have googled around and tried the suggestions on the first pages coming up but I didn't seem to find any resolution.

Does anybody know if there's a way to manually "purge" those folders if they become corrupted, other than removing and reinstalling the software?

It gives me a clean slate, but I need the customer's email data to try it out. They aren't home right now, I'll wait.

No problem let me know. :-)

Renaming the folder, recreating the account and copying only the inbox back to the new folder solved it without causing message or structure loss. Thanks.
