I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

which technology are you using on the server side?
Because a client side only solution will not work (you just have added jQuery topic).

any other site without powered by? or how do i convert my html to php and put counter code?

my site is html only.
That is a problem.  HTML is a client-side language incapable of remembering anything like a hit counter.  The usual design for a hit counter would be something like a PHP script that kept the URL and the count in a database table.  When the browser calls for a page matching the URL, the PHP script that generates the page updates the counter by adding 1.  The count is included in the document sent by the server to the client browser.

If you're able to add PHP scripting to support your site you can add a hit counter with only a few lines of code and we can help you find good PHP examples.  If you have to stay with "html only" you might want to consider using Google Analytics.  It does not display ads on your site and it does not display a counter, but it counts accesses and many other useful things.  You can get access to the information it records via a web browser.
