How to clear browsing history in internet explorer 11 without deleting the saved passwords

hello,

Can someone provide step by step on how to clear the internet explorer browser as much as possible BUT without deleting any stored passwords please.

Hi Italiabella,

Click the Tools menu, then Delete browsing history (or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl-Shift-Del). You'll see this:

IE11 delete history
Tick the boxes on everything you want to clear (but, of course, don't tick the Passwords box) — and note that the first item needs to be un-ticked to clear it (ticking it is a Preserve action). Then click the Delete button. That's it! Regards, Joe

Close, but not quite. You want to un-tick the first box, because ticking it means to Preserve it. Other than that, it's good to go!

That is good — it will delete all elements of the browsing history (including cookies), but it will keep the saved passwords.
