Routing and remote access 2012 R2 w/two VM's

Removed a 2003 server as the PDC with RAS configured. Replaced with a  2012 r2 server. Need to configure VPN to allows users access, however when I configure RAS it's nocks out the switches and the PDC acts strange after. I expect this is because of the virtual switch.

Should I:
- configure RAS on the 2012 r2 host server?
- configure on the VM (PDC)

Configure as?

Thank you

Tell us more about the config. Are you using two physical / virtual NICs for RRAS?
What does "nocks [sic] out the switches and the PDC acts strange after"  mean?

For running RRAS it should not matter in general if it is on VM or physical host. However, recommendation in a Hyper-V environment is that the host does not run anything security-related.
