Email for Traveling

I will soon be travelling out of the country.  Every time I travel out of the country, I get locked out of both Gmail and Yahoo mail if I log in from a different country.  My cell phone does not work outside of the country so I cant prove I am me.

Is there any simple webmail service I can use while I travel that I won't get locked out of?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I have travelled with the computer I am using into United States and overseas to the middle East and still got Email with no issue.  I use Mail.com, not Gmail.

Are you able to say what country you are in and what country is blocking you?

Try creating an alternate gmail account and don't attach a cell phone number to it - two-stage verification is a great security tool but hopeless if you can't access the check codes! - You can also set up forwarding from your main account to it and if you want to verify it send mail from the alternate as if it's from your main account.  You can also trash it when you're back if you've any concerns about account theft while you're logging in from less secure locations.

If you don't use two-stage authentication gmail will nag you every now and again that your account is less secure from ID theft - and then email your account to say a new log-in was detected - for you to verify - from that account :)

I see you are from Canada. Outside of the country means USA? Or Europe/Asia?
I traveled in Europe/Canada/Africa different countries. I am from Europe and I have my Yahoo email address set for Canada.
I have no problem to access it daily, even by Smartphone/tablet in Europe. I had no troubles to accesses it in Canada or Africa.
But one thing what MASQ said is important: I never verified a local mobile phone, always skipped that suggestion, even for Gmail, which I also was able to access it.
The only problem that I had was Facebook, they detected a different IP than regular and asked additional question to identify me.
In your case, if you already identified your account with your phone number, then I would go with the suggestion above. No matter if it is private or business email, just set it to forward emails for the periods of time when you travel. Set a second email address which is not related/verified to a mobile number and then check your emails only with that email address. It should work with any common email address as Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail.
