Help with Web Browser in vb.net

Hello EE,

I have an application that needs 4-5 web browsers in it. I find it very slow, for sure its because eahc of them has a Sub Document_Complete
but, every browser is slow.. im not sure why is it because I do not use Threading or something ?

How could pages be more quicker ? is there a way ? I understand it cannot be faster than my own internet speed. but still its very very slow to load and do things.

any idea ?

what if you load the same pages from IE or Chrome directly without your application?

The web browser control is IE. Are you handling the web browser control events to do some work that could slow down the process?

I put a listBox near each web browser. I put the events in it (like a debugger.writeline) in the listbox I will like actions : "Page loaded" "redirecting to ..."   you know ?

when I run only 1 web Browser, the speed is smooth and the pace is alright, i could live with that.
but then, If I run 2 or 3 .. I see the speed going much longer and also the 3 listbox are updated at the same moment, it looks like the code is waiting for every broweser to finish.. but I have 3 document_complete events...

thats why I asked if I needed to use Threading or something

I see now. All your instances are in fact a single object. This is the way the control has been built. You need to do multi threading to get different instances. have a look at http://www.xtremevbtalk.com/archive/index.php/t-284240.html

Ok so even If I created multiple web browsers and multiple events of documentcomplete for each it works as if It was one ?

i will look at your link .. hold on

You have multiple instances but the web browser control is a COM object and its implementation is not the best one.

is there a way instead of using Web Browsers to simply use something like HttpRequest and do the same as if I was "clicking" a button ?  because right now in my code what I do is that I call something like :

  myWebBrowser.Navigate(elDistinct(index).DomElement.Href.ToString())

I call a string that I find and I use Navigate.... so that on next page I find a final button

maybe I could use something else to do all this without Navigating ?
