Remote desktop in Win10 - Automatically run an application

Good morning.

We configured remote desktop clients on Win7 in an agency of ours.

Clients over there, connects regularly with our Win2008 server that have several TS licenses and, runnning
RDP, automatically a command line is executed to run a software module.

In such a way, every remote user has not the visibility of his desktop on the server.

All works ok, but  now we needs to slightly change the command line inside the RDP client.

We called our agency and, connecting via Teamviewer to a remote PC client, we discovered that they migrated  from Win7 to Win10.

For it seems to work, we simply tried to modify RDP Client configuration, changing the command line string
but we didn'succeed to find the way to do that, in configuration panes.

The tab "Programs" simply no longer exists.

Any suggestion?

Thanks and regards, Massimo.

Correct, that tab no longer exists. You'll have to use a setting at the server to direct users to a certain program: see https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc770821.aspx
Another way would be the so called RemoteApps that you can publish, but only if the server is the R2 version of 2008.

ASKER

Thanks McKnife.

I checked this solution visiting the RD Session Host Configuration on our Win2008 R2
TS server as suggested.

The problem (or maybe an "half problem") is that  it seems I have the possibility to specify only one program for the only  "connection" line I see.

In addition, I guess that all  TS users must use this connection.

May be it is possible to differentiate the ran program using some policy?

Some user in a Group-> a policy assigned to that Group-> a specific program
associated a that policy?

Best regards.

Massimo.
