I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Not sure what you mean about "turn off" but your error message is occurring  because you are changing the row/column length by adding fields so that the message "pivot will overlap" is telling you the revised pivot will overlay other data to the right or below the original pivot table.  If you don't want the message you need to move what is to the right or below the original pivot table to allow room for the "new" pivot table.

As far as im aware there is a function within the PT to allow you to make changes in the field list and then update when you have made your changes

Try the "Defer Layout Update" box on the Pivot Table Fields menu.
