How to download trinity rescue kit successfully

I have tried and tried but to no avail. Seems as though It will not install on a dvd-r which is all I have at work. Was successful with installing to a cd-rw at home but did not work on the target computer at work. It booted from the disc but then said it can't find trk on the disc. I am at my whits end. I have a locked windows computer at work and we need to crack that pw. Any help is much appreciated. And recommendations on other free pw crackers.

Greg,

TRK may not be compatible with hardware you are having issues with. Also, what version of windows are you talking about? You can also try ophcrack, you can download the project from sourceforge at (http://ophcrack.sourceforge.net/download.php?type=livecd). The best one for me is Konboot (http://www.piotrbania.com/all/kon-boot/), i've have the most success with it, they have a free version but you might as well pay the $15 for the license version with full capabilities.

We have server 2008 r2 and windows 7 enterprise running on the local system. This seems to be an issue with dvd/cd r and rw. It does not seem to like the readable only for some reason according to google search not much more intel available on it and nothing on trk website either. Thank You for your other recommendations. I will research them and hopefully get one of them going.
