HIB - wmic get serial number

Dear Experts,

I typed the following command:

wmic /node:HIBPC11 bios get serialnumber

but I got this error message

Node - HIBPC15
Description = The RPC server is unavailable.

How can I resolve it?

This means that you cannot connect to HIBPC15 (or HPIBPC11). You probably cannot map a network drive to that node as well. You can try fixing this by rebooting the remote node or by making an admin connection first before you use the wmic command.

Hi! Gerwin, the problematic PC is HIBPC15. Can explain by admin connection, I am really IT idiot when it comes to such stuff.

admin connection = map a network drive as administrator to that system

Do you have other PC's where this wmic command is working?

Yes, 60% of the PCs are workable.
Gerwin Jansen, EE MVETopic Advisor Commented:
So the admin connection is working? Tried locally? For local just leave out the node parameter.
Anonymous KHIT EngineerAuthor Commented:
HIBPC15 - Alias file not found
Gerwin Jansen, EE MVETopic Advisor Commented:
What do you mean? Did you try locally? Is the admin connection working? I don' understand what you mean exactly.

When I type wmic /node:HIBPC15 bios get serialnumber,

The error message is "HIBPC15 - Alias file not found"
