Outlook 2007 wont authenticate with Office 365 Hosted exchange

Hi Experts...

I have setup many Outlook accounts 2010, 2013 and 2016 with office 365 hosted exchange with out a problem.

I have to set up outlook 2007 for the first time and every thing I try, Outlook refuses to authenticate.  The OS is w7 x64, I have fully patched it and Office is on the latest SP.

With outlook closed, I configure the account in the 32bit mail accounts area under Control panel/users, get to the last bit and no joy. I have double checked the password, used the MS connectivity checker - all is well.

Any Ideas?

Have you tried this on another client to rule out local issues? Also is there any reason you are still using Outlook 2007 - this came out of mainstream support a few years ago now..

Agreed with Vasil. With the service pack updates and the Desktop Sign-in Assistant, 2007 will work with Exchange 365
