conditional formatting if statement

Hi Experts using excel 2010

I want to add to cell d6 if this cell is blank then tbc using conditional formatting...if user added text then leave text.

What value do you want to populate in D6 by Conditional Formatting?

If d6 is blank or left empty then add tbc..

Make a new rule for conditional formatting using the below formula as set the format as per your choice.
=D6=""

You cannot Set a Cell Value using Conditional formatting.

You can do this by adding a simple VBA code. Attached an excel which explains it.
