transferring photos from iphone to Windows 10
I've always transferred photos from my iphone 6 to my PC by simply plugging in the phone with a USB cable and using Windows Explorer to drag the photos over. Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer doesn't recognize my iphone. ITunes recognizes the device (and syncs just fine), so it's not a connection issue ... but I can figure a way to transfer my iphone photos to my Desktop folder. An online blog suggested I use the Windows built-in Photo App, but it doesn't recognize the iphone either. Please help.
Thanks,
Phil

Windows 10 has a native phone sync program, that does all right. Have you checked the USB cable?
Just checking in case this was not known to you.
When plugging in the iPhone you do unlock the phone once connected right?
If locked it won't show up.

Since the USB cable works great syncing with iTunes, I assume it's not the cable. How do I access the Windows sync program?
ASKER
Yes, I unlocked the phone. Even tried unlocking it and rebooting the computer.

No one mentioning "phone companion"? That would be the tool MS recommends. Works with Iphones/Winphones/Android.
Right in your start menu, search for "companion".
