DL380 GEN 9 ILO

Dear All

Please can you help me in regards to my new ILO, I wanted to make sure that I had updated all the firmware before using the server  like BIOS, storage controller, LO management ect, its all runs through and installs but as soon as I reboot and check if there are any further update I see the same firmware versions for the above mentioned! Its like it isn't installed, any ideas please?

Did you go out to the HP site for the newest firmware yourself or are you letting it do it automatically?

ASKER

I enter the ILO during boot F10, in the menu I select firmware update. I am doing this automatically not manually.

if I do that would the ILO then show no update required?
Once you update the ilo it will reflect the latest version it has in the post when it is booting up.
HP ilo's are funny at times.  Make sure you download the latest software version for the ilo as well.  If you find that you are unable to input the ip using the gui, as you probably know you can get to the ilo in the post when the server is booting up and input the ip info and username there as well.
