asked on

Is there a way to hide default shape's right click pop up menu (context menu) in Visio 2013?

Hi all.

I've build a little system in Visio with multiple shapes, each shape with right click menu actions, via the Actions tab in the ShapeSheet, but I'd like to hide the default visio shape's right click menu (all the shape modifiers icons and the copy, cut, paste submenu) in order to avoid confussion with the system's users. Is there a way to do it?

Best regards

Thank you very much  Dale and Visio Guy. I was back and forth with the code and ideas that Dale posted, but I wasn't been able to translate fully functional to Visio (I'm a VB rookie). Then the code Visio Guy posted worked like a charm. You're the best and saved me a lot of time.

Best regards

VBA

Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) enables building user-defined functions (UDFs), automating processes and accessing Windows API and other low-level functionality through dynamic-link libraries (DLLs). VBA is closely related to Visual Basic and uses the Visual Basic Runtime Library, but it can normally only run code within a host application rather than as a standalone program. It can, however, be used to control one application from another via OLE Automation. VBA is built into most Microsoft Office applications.
